My name is Tyler, and I'm a Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace Graduate Student, and tutor specializing in Math, Physics, and Engineering. Whether you're preparing for your next test or exam, tackling challenging homework, or trying to build a stronger understanding of STEM subjects, my goal is to help you gain confidence in your own thought processes, not just memorize procedures.
I earned my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a 3.82 GPA from the University of Dayton and am currently pursuing my M.S. in Aerospace Engineering while working full time as an optomechanical engineer. As a practicing engineer, I use many of the same mathematical and engineering concepts that students encounter in the classroom, which allows me to connect theory to real-world applications rather than teaching in the abstract. I work with students ranging from high school through college, and I tutor a wide range of subjects, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus I, II, and III, as well as differential equations, physics, statics, dynamics, mechanical engineering, and CAD and engineering design.
Every student learns differently, so rather than simply giving answers, I focus on identifying where concepts become confusing and explaining them in a way that makes sense to you specifically. My philosophy is that there is always more than one way to learn any topic or subject, and I encourage questions, adapt my teaching style to your learning preferences, and work at a pace that builds both understanding and confidence rather than rushing through material.

Since then, I have earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (3.82 GPA) and am currently pursuing an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, building an extensive foundation in mathematics, problem solving, and analytical reasoning. I enjoy helping students strengthen the core concepts tested on the ACT while also teaching effective test-taking strategies, time management, and approaches to difficult questions.
