I am a retired certified classroom teacher with 20 years’ experience supporting students in grades 4-6 in language arts, math, and science. I focus on building strong skills and confidence by using clear explanations, lots of guided practice, and encouragement. I am familiar with current Ohio standards and can help with homework support, test preparation, and filling skill gaps. I’m available 5–10 hours per week for one-on-one tutoring in the Dayton area, either at your home or a local library.”

Elementary (K-6th)

I taught Grades 4, 5, and 6 over the course of my career at Grandview Elementary School. During the first half of my career, I specialized in science and language arts. During the second half, I taught all subjects, adding Math and Social Studies to my experience base. Since teaching in a school setting, I have privately tutored grade 5 and 8 students in math, and grade k and 1 students in language arts. I especially enjoy working one-on-one with students, finding what works for each individual and watching progress unfold.
