Regardless of how you find me, you will undoubtedly sense my enthusiasm for aerospace engineering and love of aviation. Through tutoring, I look forward to sharing my passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

I hold degrees from the University of Notre Dame (Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering), California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Master of Science in Engineering), and Purdue University (PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics). I have over 15 years of professional experience as an Aerospace Engineer and also hold a private pilot certificate.

While the underlying subjects can be challenging, I particularly enjoy applying math and physics to real-world problems. I believe this approach makes these subjects both relatable and interesting. My method of tutoring starts by ensuring the student has an adequate understanding of the problem and any assumptions. My goal is for students to understand more than how to calculate a correct answer. I want students to comprehend both the process and meaning of their work.

At Notre Dame, I tutored engineering students one-on-one. More recently, I mentored middle-school students in a competitive STEM program. I am interested in tutoring both foundational subjects (such as Algebra, Calculus, and Physics) and advanced topics in aerospace engineering (such as Introductory Aerodynamics, Compressible Aerodynamics, and Computer Programming).

Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Fortran

Fortran

I have used Fortran in both undergraduate and graduate courses in aerospace engineering, which often include exposure to legacy Fortran codes. For my Master's project, I implemented a model for the prediction of wing vortex wakes in Fortran 77 with some Fortran 95 intrinsic calls. I have professional experience with computational fluid dynamics codes based on Fortran, such as NASA's DPLR and FUN3D.
MATLAB

MATLAB

For my PhD research, I wrote an extensive amount of MATLAB software for processing and analyzing wind tunnel data, and I have comprehensive experience using MATLAB for academic courses, including Hypersonic Aerothermodynamics, Introduction to Satellite Navigation & Positioning, and Satellite Constellations. I have also developed, implemented, and maintained several MATLAB-based data analysis software packages for analyzing aircraft flight test data. I host multiple projects on GitHub that are written in MATLAB, including a collection of programs that can be used to study gas turbine engine performance. MATLAB is my go-to programming language for many engineering applications.
