My name is Olive, Olivia, or whatever else you feel like calling me. I'm currently a student at Wright State University, where I major in Classics with a focus on the Latin language, Greek religion, and Roman history. I am a recipient of an IB diploma, with HL subjects English Literature, Music, and Biology, and SL subjects Psychology, Mathematics Applications and Interpretations, and Spanish ab initio. I have also taken lots of AP classes, including English Language, English Literature, Chemistry, Biology, and World History. I struggled to learn in high school with the way information was presented to me, so now I feel passionate about helping students understand how they learn. I can make up songs and mnemonics or give writing prompts; anything that will assist in learning is an option I am more than open to trying.
I have about 2 years of tutoring experience, mostly assisting professors with supplemental instruction lessons in Greek mythology, Latin, and Psychology. I am especially passionate about Psychology and Chemistry. Although they are not subjects I have chosen to pursue in college, I still read textbooks and watch video lectures in my free time.
Any resources or concerns are welcome! I would love to see lesson plans and example assessments so I can tailor sessions with your student to their unique needs.
