For as long as I can remember, music has been a huge part of my life. I started playing the violin and taking private lessons when I was only 2 years old, and fell in love with learning not only how to play music well, but how it works. I began taking piano lessons when I was in elementary school and then later decided I wanted to play in the school band, so I started playing the flute.

I majored on flute in college where I got a degree in Multi-Age Music Education from Cedarville University. I taught in local public schools straight out of college, but then started building my collection of private students where I teach at a local studio! I currently teach private flute and piano lessons locally, and love every minute of it. I have taught anywhere from 5 year olds to 18 year olds, and feel that this variety in my students has taught me how to be an engaging, interactive, and effective teacher to all my students, no matter what their learning styles and backgrounds are!
