Hello! My name is Vishal, and I graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Akron with my degree in Marketing Management and Integrated Marketing Communications, on a premedical track. I am also a fourth-year medical student. I believe the best approach to learning is to make it your own, that is, finding a way to relate to the material and be able to describe it in your own words. I've been fortunate to have wonderful teachers/professors, coaches, peers, and tutors who taught me this valuable skill and I've strived to bring that same approach to every person I help. I get immense satisfaction out of being able to help someone overcome learning hurdles, and working as a team to solve problems. My approach to tutoring goes beyond rote memorization, as it's my aim to help teach foundational concepts that can be applies across a wide range of problems. As they saying goes, teach someone to fish and they eat forever!
My sessions are, collaborative, engaging, challenging, but most importantly, fun. I usually prefer to get some materials from the students before meeting to get a gauge for what we will go over and their current proficiency, so I can meet them where they are at.
