Lorraine was patient and kind, allowing me to learn while guiding me to learn how to become more proficient with Final Cut. I highly recommend her as a tutor! Lorraine is very efficient in working with kids on ELA. Providing the materials to the students in advance and then going over them at the session helps a lot. Both my kids had great experience with her.

Lorraine is my 5th grade daughter’s new English tutor. She is the first English tutor for my daughter. Since the reading and writing get more complicated in 5th grade, I hope her tutoring will help her, and prepare her well to go to middle school next year. Although she just gave my daughter few lessons, my daughter loves and enjoys her teaching very much! She is very knowledgeable and patient, and knows how to teach English for kids very well. She brings my daughter’s understanding of reading, grammar and writing to a new level in very short period of time. My daughter would like to have her tutoring for at least one more semester.

We had good communication. The reply is always prompt. As Lorraine said, my nephew’s English language proficiency still needs to improve. That’s also the reason why we want to have ESL lesson. He could communicate perfectly with the previous tutor who also speaks English only. But that tutor had a new job, and the schedule couldn’t match. ESL teaching is not easy, different learner has different needs.

Unusually resourceful!

Lorraine helped me outline a college writing assignment for an overwhelming examination paper. She offered a lot of advice to organize my ideas in correlation to the paper's rubric. Her tutoring lessons made me feel comfortable, and the effect made me feel more confident with my approach on the ways to structure and analyze the examination paper. Lorraine was unusually resourceful as she collaborated with me on my college assignment, therefore I can imagine she makes an honorable effort to tutor all of her students in the same fashion.
