Hello! My name is Jessica, and I teach math at Saratoga Springs High School. Teaching is a passion of mine - I love experiencing the joy of learning something new with my students. There is nothing quite like helping a student finally understand something when they were about to give up.

I have a dual bachelor's degree in both general education and special education and therefore, know how to scaffold instruction to meet the learner where they are at. I am incredibly patient and have a large repertoire of strategies and techniques to help my students experience success!

I have been tutoring math since I was in high school and have experience with everything from elementary common core to high school algebra to prepping for the TEAS exam.

I currently teach 7th grade math and tutor several clients in Algebra 1. I was a math minor in college and have been tutoring students in Algebra ever since I can remember. I've always had a passion for Algebra and view the problems as puzzles!

I was in college when the Common Core State Standards were getting rolled out, so I am very well-versed in them. I have been teaching for the past 6 years and have aligned all lessons with the CCSS. I am very familiar with the standards in both Math and ELA in all grade levels.
Special Needs

Special Needs

I have worked with students with special needs since I became a teacher in 2014. I began working with students classified as having "Emotional Disturbance," then transitioned to working as a case manager for a variety of disability classifications, including but not limited to, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Speech/Language Impairment. I currently teach self-contained math classes at Saratoga Springs High School and am also a direct consultant teacher for general education math classes.

Mrs. Jessica is teaching me algebra 1, she’s very patient going through problems and making sure I understand everything she teaches me. She is helping me understand every rule and formula. She is one of the best tutors I have had, highly recommended for tutoring.

Jessica did not an outstanding job with my daughter. My daughter was having challenges with multiplying decimals and after three weeks of poor test performance, we scheduled a session with Jessica and within moments she was able to diagnose the issue which was that my daughter had not fully grasped placement of decimal. Once Jessica walked her through fundamentals of decimals, she was able to successfully multiply decimals on her own by end of session.
