"He showed me in 15 minutes an approach more effective than I've found in three months. That's not hyperbole. I was shocked."
-Jacob R.

I've helped thousands of students raise their scores faster than they could have imagined and get into their dream schools. My method is uniquely simple and intuitive and leads to quick results.

During our first lesson, I'll give you a customized study schedule so you'll know exactly what you have to do to see quick results.

Here are the key principles of my method and why it works so well, and how I'm able to help so many people get into the 99th percentile:

1) Simplicity - no fancy techniques...all I have my students do is work through practice tests and focus on improving the score from one to the next through making the questions as simple and intuitive as possible
2) Mastery - I don't allow my students to move on from a practice test until they're sure they'd get perfect on it if they took it again
3) Regimen - I have over a dozen customized study schedules my students follow, so no matter your schedule you'll know exactly what to do to be on the quickest path to a perfect score

If you're not happy with your first lesson, you get your money back.

Common Core

Common Core

Many of my students have greatly improved their grades as a result of my tutelage, and as such have subsequently had better school/career options. I've taught mathematics and English language arts/literacy (ELA) extensively for a number of years. I've helped many students understand concepts they previously found confusing.
Ear Training

Ear Training

Having studied at Berklee College of Music, I took the most advanced ear training classes, including Advanced Ear Training, Atonal Solfege 1, and Atonal Solfege 2. I teach private instrumental lessons and always emphasize ear training as an important tool for musical improvement. My methods are to work on each interval individually and help to facilitate a vivid image of that interval in the student's memory, and eventually translate that ability into longer musical phrases and pieces.
General Music

General Music

I graduated with two degrees from Berklee College of Music, in Performance as well as Film Scoring. My education includes expansive knowledge in music theory spanning a wide variety of styles and genres, as well as the study of composing and orchestrating for all sorts of different instrumentations. I have experience teaching on a few different instruments, including saxophone and piano.
GMAT

GMAT

My GMAT score, a near perfect score of 760 for quant and verbal, was in the 99th percentile. This is largely due to my extremely intuitive methods, which I teach to all of my students. I have helped many students get into the schools of their dreams.
GRE

GRE

My GRE score, near perfect, was in the 99th percentile for both verbal and quantitative. This is largely due to my extremely simple and effective practice methods, which I teach to all of my students. I have helped many students get into the schools of their dreams.
Hebrew

Hebrew

I have a formal Hebrew/Jewish education and have worked professionally as a Torah reader at a plethora of synagogues in the New York area as well as Boston and Canada, including experience teaching Hebrew/bar mitzvah lessons. I spent one year studying classes in Hebrew at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University in New York.

Macintosh

Macintosh

I own a Mac and work with it for hours every day. Part of my employment is producing music for videos and the like, which involves the most advanced of techniques and shortcuts on the Macintosh platform. My degrees from Berklee had a huge technological component which involved getting to know the Macintosh computer inside-out, in order to facilitate quick and efficient work no matter what the task.
Music Theory

Music Theory

I studied at Berklee College of Music, where I graduated with two degrees, in performance and film scoring respectively. Additionally I have over a decade of professional experience as a musician and composer in the United States and Canada.
Poker

Poker

I was drawn towards learning poker a number of years ago when I began playing recreationally with friends, and started noticing that even though a lot of luck was involved, very often it was the same people winning and the same people losing. I wanted to pinpoint exactly why I seemed to be beating my friends so often, so that I could institutionalize whatever it was into my game, and discover more ways to exploit the weaknesses of other poker players. I began to watch and study poker on TV and the internet, and read books detailing strategic conventions and ideas. This was when I realized just how multi-faceted of a game poker is - it involves so much of memory, rational thought, discipline, and mathematical understanding, but at the same time, a great deal of simple instinct. Then, the experience of playing hundreds of thousands of hands online was what engrained the instinct in me of what to do with any particular hand in any particular situation, since I had been faced with every situation before and tried different strategies, my memory always noting the one that worked the most often. This knowledge is easily teachable to others in much less time than it took for me to assemble the knowledge and experience.
Regents

Regents

I have extensive experience teaching subjects like algebra, geometry, English. I've helped countless students raise their scores significantly on tests such as the Regents, SAT, GRE, and GMAT. My simple and intuitive methods are very practical for helping students achieving near perfect scores.

I scored a 790 (99th percentile) on the math section of an official SAT prep test in the new format. My goal with students is to break every difficult question into several very simple steps that are easy and natural to figure out.
SAT Reading

Very personable and understanding

I was looking for a one-time session and I appreciated that Nathan was not aggressive in trying to sell me more, but rather was focused on listening to where I was at and what I should do in the future on my own.
