2019-20 AP Micro, Macro teacher at charter school, high pass rate

For the last year and a half I taught AP micro and macro to eleventh graders at Success Academy where my classes led in AP pass rates for all the history department, as well as most 4s and 5s. Before working at Success I spent 30 years as an economist on Wall Street 25 of which involved running a premier real-time consulting business called Foreign Exchange Analytics where I led a team providing independent research and analysis on global currency and interest rate markets to hedge funds, banks and international monetary authorities, Prior to launching my consulting firm I spent near 6 years working for Xerox Financial Services, Van Kampen Merritt and MCM International as an international economist and currency strategist. Throughout my career I appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, BBC, PBS and Fox as an expert on foreign exchange markets and was regularly quoted in the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Washington Post and Financial Times. I hold a Masters of Science degree from the London School of Economics. Before embarking on my career on Wall Street I spent 6 years teaching economics at a public high school in the San Francisco Bay Area. I hold a lifetime teaching credential from the state of California. I love teaching economics to students, linking AP econ content to real life experiences I have had in the financial markets and watching students succeed on AP exams.

I have loads of teaching experience, a successful and lengthy career in the field and the content expertise required to be a successful tutor of economics. I never tire of working with young people and my enthusiasm for the subject matter is infectious.
