Approved Subjects

Calculus

Calculus

Learn topics like - derivatives (incl. partial derivatives, extremals, Lagrange multipliers) - integral (Riemann or Lebesgue; area, volume) - sequences and series (convergence tests) - analytical geometry (dot and cross product, planes and lines) - Stokes, Gauss, Green
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

Use calculus and linear algebra tools to learn how to solve ordinary differential equations (linear, homogeneous, separable, Bernoulli, linear systems, etc.). Understand the existence and uniqueness of the solutions or their dependence on parameters.
Discrete Math

Discrete Math

I taught discrete mathematics at a community college, including the language of first-order logic (quantifiers, connectives) and set theory (recursions, inductive proofs, countability). I also covered topics like divisibility in the ring of integers with examples of modal arithmetic and the basic principles of counting (combinatorics).
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

Learn topics like - linear systems of equations (Gauss-Jordan, echelon form) - linear maps (matrix, bases, canonical forms, singular value decomposition) - inner products (Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization, orthogonal maps) - diagonalization (eigenvectors, -values, -spaces) - application to systems of ordinary differential equations
Real Analysis

Real Analysis

A former TA in Functional Analysis with a master's degree in pure math, I can discuss topics like topological properties of metric spaces, the difference between Riemann and Lebesgue integrals, L^p spaces, or applications of Cauchy's theorem in Complex Analysis.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

You will learn how to apply trigonometry like a professional engineer, which formulas are worth memorizing, and what trigonometric "strategies" help simplify problems in geometry or calculus.
Algebra 2
GMAT
GRE
Precalculus
Probability

Great Support with Discrete Mathematics

We are so grateful to Mr. Roger R. for all his help! He turned what was a stressful and complex subject, Discrete Mathematics, into something much more manageable and easier for my daughter to understand. He was extremely accommodating and went out of his way to fit in a session the night before her test. She did well on her test today, and we truly appreciate his support. This was her first session with Mr. Roger, and we definitely hope to continue with more sessions with him. Highly recommend him!

Very helpful and patient

Roger was able to teach me how to solve second order differential equation which helped a lot in my confidence and overall knowledge when the time came for me to be tested on the subject.
