My past students describe me as a motivating and engaging teacher who can bring excitement and thoughtfulness to any lesson. As a fun but rigorous tutor, my hope is to help my students how to understand and appreciate the material, as well as how it applies to their lives.

I have over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience combined working with students from all walks of life - from tiny two-year olds to undergraduate chemistry and biology students. I've even had the opportunity to work privately with the elderly in mastering the concepts of the math GED.

While everyone THINKS notecards are the way to go in Biology, that's not always the case. In our sessions not only will you receive an initial assessment of your skill, we will develop a system of study that is tailored to YOU - that will allow you to thrive and shine independently in any class or test. I love seeing my students master the material in a way that works for them and seeing the lightbulb that goes off once they see how cool or how easy the concept it!

Although I taught biology, I've had the opportunity to teach and tutor 7th and 8th graders taking Pre-Algebra, Algebra I as well as Geometry. In a past life, I worked at an after school program assisting 1st-5th graders with their homework- my focus being in math and science. I've also had the opportunity to help the elderly with their GEDs, particularly in Math, which covers basic arithmetic to geometry and statistics.

Graduating from Williams College in 2011 with my degree in Biology, focusing on microbiology and genomics, I did research with two professors during my junior and senior years. I taught 4th Grade General Science, 8th Grade Anatomy and Physiology and 9th grade General Biology at a PreK-12 independent school in Downtown Brooklyn for five years.
