For the past 20 years I have taught English Language Arts at the high school level to a very diverse population of students. I have extensive experience teaching a blended curriculum and utilizing online platforms to offer students engaging and multi-tiered curriculum. I am a strong believer in student centered learning, developing positive relationships with my students and promoting a growth mindset approach to learning.

I am very experienced in creating individual learning experiences that connect to students interests and that target the necessary skill areas. I believe teaching is a calling and I am excited to help any student that wants to develop their reading and writing skills and to help them embrace a love of learning.

I love teaching and have many years of wide ranging teaching experience. From engaging reluctant readers, preparing students for State exams, working with writer's to develop their craft or guiding students as they analyze challenging and rigorous texts. In addition I take great pride in my ability to develop individualized and interesting curriculum to spark critical thinking and discussion!
