I'm a recent graduate of Stanford University, where I received undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Industrial Engineering, and a Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Operations & Finance. My coursework focused heavily on verbal and quantitative reasoning, extending into statistics and advanced math. I began tutoring my peers in high school, initially working on standardized test prep given my expertise — a perfect SAT score — and expanded into working extensively with advanced undergrads, graduate students, postgrads, and professionals on data science and statistics for economics, public policy, medicine, and more.

Teaching has given me a means of providing real value to students. I have deep faith in the capacity for any hard-working individual to achieve their dreams, and the changing nature of education -- online classes, reliance on standardized testing, etc. -- all too often leaves talented students behind. As a tutor, I'm committed to making these challenges an opportunity for students to excel, not a barrier to success. I'd love to work with you -- please reach out with any questions!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Econometrics,

Econometrics

As a Senior studying math at Stanford University, I have extensive academic experience in statistics, public policy, economics, and more abstract mathematics. I've also used statistical software like Stata and R to conduct economic research during my time at Stanford. I began teaching standardized math in high school, but have transitioned into econometrics over the past few years given my changing intellectual interests, and the overwhelming number of students in need of help. My experience working with a diverse array of students and my mathematical fluency makes me uniquely suited to help students grasp tough econometrics concepts.

STATA,

STATA

As a Senior studying math at Stanford University, I have extensive academic experience in statistics, public policy, economics, and more abstract mathematics. Much of the research I've conducted in these areas, like modeling the spread of COVID in rural America and examining the efficacy of insider trading laws, has involved the collection, organization, and analysis of large data sets using Stata and R. I began teaching standardized math and computer programming in high school, but in recent years have focused more on helping students with statistical software given my changing intellectual interests, and the overwhelming number of students in need of help. My experience working with a diverse array of students and my background in mathematics and programming makes me uniquely suited to helping students become fluent with Stata, and confident in (and excited about) their work.

Greek,

Greek

I've long been interested in ancient history and philosophy, and began supplementing my education with Ancient Greek classes during my Senior year of high school. In the years since, I've taken two years of college-level Greek, and served as a peer tutor for other Classics students on campus, as well as a private tutor for students of various ages in my home town. I've an active member of the Classics community at Stanford, and would love to share my knowledge of this beautiful language with others!

Very knowledgeable!

Francisco made himself available to meet me even though I have such a strange schedule which I really appreciate! He explained the concepts well and answered all my questions! He was easy to work with and very professional! Excellent tutor!

Blissful Ease

Francisco taught me the gritty basics of regression modeling within stata and it was the most intuitive and excellent explanation of everything. I could understand what he said beyond interpreting the technical jargon a lot of people utilize when describing software. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Statistics/Stata SUPER Knowledgeable!!

Francisco was amazing! He helped me understand concepts that I was unable to digest during the entire semester. I shared my research project with him and he went through all important details with me. Just in one lesson Francisco was able to provide me with all the resources I needed to move forward in my next steps. I highly recommend Francisco and look forward to working with him in the future.

Very knowledgeable, great tutor, very patient

We went over statistics and it was super helpful. He knows STATA and understands the difficulty in trying to approach a lot of these problems. Definitely a good person to have explaining things!
