When I teach a language to someone I combine my knowledge on linguistics with my foreign language skills coming up with an easy way to make grammatical rules more understandable. I reinforce the learning process by giving useful analogies as well.
As a fluent English speaker with competent level of knowledge over the English language on a linguistic level, I would be great at tutoring in ESL/ESOL. I have teaching experience as well, at ANSOB Center for refugees in Astoria, Queens where I was a computer class instructor for newly arrived immigrants/refugees who were learning English.
