My teaching experience begins since middle school assisting my dance teacher. During college I started to have my own classes reinforcing French vocabulary. I got into teaching high school after two years in adult education, helping adults with basic education, GED preparation, and clerical classes. All of the time I've taught groups and classes, I've also tutored one-on-one and small groups. I love mathematics and love when students get it because of my help. While my students grow, so do I, both as a teacher and learner. Unlike with classes, 1:1 tutoring allows me to tailor instruction directly to a student's pace and level because I can learn quickly what student's interests are and where they are. I like that a lot.

I have a permanent certification to teach math in grades 7-12 and have been teaching math for 20 years in public middle and high schools and charter schools. My last full-time classroom teaching experience was teaching 7th grade math at a charter school where I was also Math Department Chair.
