Hi there! I am a writer and artist who believes in hands-on, project based learning. I offer tutoring in art, college admissions, SAT reading and writing. I graduated from New York University Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Studio Art and a 3.99/4.0 GPA. During my time there I made the Dean's List for all four years, was recognized through Founder's Day Award, and won the Josh Goldfaden Award for my writing. During my time in school I was part of the Scrivener's Society, a writing club that had weekly meetings to practice creative writing and provide critique. Drawing on my own experience applying for college, I guided several college applicants through the college admissions process by helping to edit their college application essays, narrow down which extracurricular activities to add to develop a strong and focused application, and providing guidance on figuring out which schools to apply to.
In 2024, I mentored a pair of adult creative writers for the Blank Page Revival program. I met with them weekly either in person or through Zoom to give them feedback and suggestions on their writing, created individualized writing exercises to help them develop their voice, and motivated them to continue writing.
I have taught a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, ceramics and glass at 3 different art studios (UrbanGlass, Achievers Arts, Art Speaks Studio). I worked with students in kindergarten all the way up to adult learners so I am confident in clearly communicating with people of all ages. Class sizes were typically 5-15 students and I went over beginner, intermediate as well as advanced techniques.
