Hi! I’m a college freshman majoring in Computer Science, and I’ve been tutoring for over a year. I started as a TA in my AP Computer Science class and continued tutoring after starting college, worked both on campus and independently. I’ve worked with middle and high school students, mostly in math (from pre-algebra and algebra to geometry, precalculus, and calculus, SAT and state exam prep). I especially enjoy helping students truly understand the material, not just memorize formulas. I emphasize both a deep understanding of concepts and the development of problem-solving skills, because being able to think through a problem is more powerful than memorizing how to solve one.
I grew up in Russia, where I was a strong academic student, and I bring that experience into my teaching style: structured, clear, supportive and with emphasis on understanding of theory.
I’m especially passionate about math and love helping students build confidence and curiosity in the subject. Whether you’re struggling with the basics or aiming to deepen your understanding, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward, step by step.
