Hello! My name is Vamsci and I work as a part-time research associate at the FSU Magnet Lab in Tallahassee. I graduated from FSU in 2015 with a PhD from Electrical Engineering. I have research experience in various fields including energy storage systems, magnetostatics, power systems, RF/MW engineering, electromagnetics, signal processing, etc. I have experience in programing languages and packages like C/C++, MATLAB, SAS, COMSOL, etc. that I have employed in my research. I have a few publications in the fields of energy storage, magnetics and am currently working on a publication in RF/MW waveguides. I have experience as a lab instructor for 3 years at FSU during my graduate study and have experience teaching/tutoring Electrical engineering courses/labs, programing courses/labs, and other general/advanced math/science/programing topics. As a lab instructor my job was to educate undergraduate students by reintroducing them to the theory behind electrical engineering concepts and help them apply the theory to better understand the experiments performed in the labs. As part of my job, I was also in charge of preparing tests, lab manuals, new curriculum using new devices, grading, and providing general/other course(s) assistance and mentoring.
My time as a lab instructor was most memorable, enjoyable, and a valuable learning experience. The students and the departmental supervisors were very satisfied with the progress made in the labs. The students always looked forward to the next lab session as I always made sure that each and every student was able to understand and apply what was learned. I received outstanding positive reviews from both students and supervisors at the end of every lab. I introduced the students to some of the research topics I was working on at the time to further stoke their curiosity and interest. They loved the fact that I always gave them tips and tricks to do things quicker, easier and smarter. There were times when I did not have answers to all the questions posed by students.
