I received my bachelor's in 2021 from the California Jazz Conservatory. Though my degree is in music, I excelled in Math and English in school, took AP classes, and scored high on the SAT. Since I was raised bilingual and lived part of my life in Latin America, I naturally have an understanding of Spanish
Besides formal education in pedagogy in University and afterwards when studying for my CELTA certification, I have over ten years' experience working with students across a range of subjects. For the past two years, I have worked online on the Varsity Tutors platform.
For me, it is of utmost importance to understand the students' goals and motivations. Together we create a plan of study, and focus on the most essential areas needed. Whether it's a one-session brush-up or a semester-long companionship, I always put the student first, asking questions and simply guiding the way to mastering the subject material.
