I have tutored dozens of students in SAT math, ACT math, Economics and high school math with excellent results. Additionally, I have also helped candidates working on their GMAT, MBA in Finance, Series 7, and Series 66 exams. One on One tutoring has always proven to be the most effective teaching method. I have tutored dozens of students in SAT math, ACT math, Economics and high school math with excellent results. Additionally, I have also helped candidates working on their GMAT, MBA in Finance, Series 7, and Series 66 exams. One on One tutoring has always proven to be the most effective teaching method. I believe that everyone has the capability to learn. The secret sauce is the right approach and it takes a sensitive teacher to find the correct recipe that works. The proper approach depends on your goals. If you are good and want to get better, that requires one technique. If you are intimidated by Math and you have always struggled, that requires a different method. Everyone is teachable one on one when motivated. As a tutor it is very rewarding to be sitting next to a student at the exact moment they "GET IT" and then go on to do well on their test.

I work from a baseline of diagnostic test results and design instructions that will address deficiencies. A course of study to achieve a goal is usually the best approach but I can work under deadlines as well. Flexible scheduling can include evenings, nights, and weekends.

I will travel to your house or a library. I do recommend a minimum of 1 - 1 1/2 hours per session since I find that to be the most effective in producing concrete results.

My qualifications include graduating high school in the top 1% of my class, Cornell University with a BS in Operations Research, Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society), and an MBA in finance from Cornell University. I am able to relate to my students very well having already tutored many with results that speak for themselves. I have 3 children with the youngest in College. I live in Northern New Jersey and I teach Financial Literacy to High School Freshman as part of my day job.

Goes above expectations for Series 7!

Jamie was a catalyst for my passing Series 7. His approach is non-nonsense, methodological, and effective. After failing my first attempt, I came to look for someone who could help me understand concepts like options, but Jamie went above and beyond that expectations. For instance, his first assignment for me was to write down everything I could remember about my exam when memories were still fresh and find out which topics I was weak and strong on. I develop a study plan based on the analysis. Throughout my exam prep, he guided me with thoughtful suggestions. For my second try, FINRA didn't make it easy for me, yet primarily due to Jamie's help, I passed. Talking to me through all essential subjects, explicating exams, and working me through those numbers while giving rationales in simpler terms, really helped. I wouldn't have broken through if I'd just relied on my Kaplan and Securities Institute material alone. I look forward to working with him on Series 66!

Someone who easily calmed my nerves

I really wanted to pass the Series 7 and I freaked out when the test date got closer. It felt like so much information in my head that I became overwhelmed. What happened with Jamie is that he explained stuff in the Series 7 in layman's terms and it stuck in my head in a sense that it didn't feel like it was overcrowded . When we went over test questions and I couldn't understand the wording of the question he was able to help me see it a certain way. This helped my confidence level knowing I could provide the best answer to each question. You may know the information in the Series 7 but the questions on the test can throw you off. Jamie understands what the Series 7 contains and he will have you understand it way quicker than you going over it again and again and again. Thank you again Jamie.
