I am a military veteran and experienced chemistry professional with a deep foundation in both academic teaching and real-world laboratory application. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, I transitioned into higher education and earned my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry from Bloomfield College. While pursuing my degree during the COVID-19 pandemic, I also taught chemistry at Fusion Academy in Montclair, NJ, where I worked closely with high school students in one-on-one and small group settings. This experience helped me develop a personalized and student-centered approach to teaching complex scientific concepts in ways that are clear, practical, and relatable.
Currently, I work in the chemical industry as a Senior Technician at Henkel, specializing in polymer science and adhesive formulation. My role involves problem-solving, materials testing (DSC, rheology, GPC), and supporting global labs in product development. My background gives me a unique edge as a tutor—I bring textbook knowledge to life with real-world examples from the lab. Whether preparing students for exams, guiding them through challenging chemistry topics, or helping them understand how the subject applies in industrial settings, I focus on clarity, confidence, and long-term retention.
I have worked with students from middle school through college and am particularly effective with students who may have struggled in traditional classroom environments. My tutoring style is conversational, intuitive, and supportive.
I meet each student where they are and tailor my teaching to how they learn best. I’m here to demystify chemistry, build problem solving skills, and help students achieve their academic goals with practical, step-by-step guidance.
