I earned my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Cairo University back in 2012. Core courses: fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, pipeline design, turbomachinery, internal combustion engines, renewable energies, numerical methods, in addition to refrigeration and air-conditioning. Moreover, I earned my master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Cairo University in 2015. Core courses: theory of fine measurements, advanced fluid mechanics, fundamentals of combustion, heat convection, numerical methods, and technical writing. Moreover, ANSYS Fluent CFD simulations were used in the thesis to optimize the HVAC system of a subway station. Finally, I earned my PhD degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee back in 2022. Core courses: fundamental and advanced fluid mechanics, turbomachinery, aerodynamics of wind turbines, advanced thermodynamics, advanced transport processes, besides principles of combustion.
I have been a certified energy auditor by the US Department of Energy since 2018. In addition, I have been a Certified Energy Manager by the Association of Energy Engineers since 2023. Moreover, I have been a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional by the Association of Energy Engineers since 2024. Finally, I earned my Engineer in Training certificate from the State of NY Department of Education in 2024.
I worked as a full-time teaching assistant in the mechanical engineering department at Cairo University from 2013 until 2017. Taught classes: Fluid mechanics, turbomachinery (Compressors and Turbines), centrifugal pumps and hydraulic turbines labs, renewable energies (solar, wind and hydro powers), and technical writing. Additionally, I taught fundamental fluid mechanics (Fall 2018) and fluid labs (Spring 2019) to mechanical and civil engineering students in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
