When I tutor, I focus on breaking down problems into simple, logical steps rather than just memorizing formulas. I encourage students to explain their thinking, identify where they get stuck, and develop strategies to approach unfamiliar problems. For example, I’ve worked with students who would second-guess correct answers, and by helping them trust their reasoning and recognize patterns, they were able to improve both their accuracy and confidence significantly.
I have worked primarily with high school students preparing for standardized tests like the SAT, as well as students needing help with algebra, precalculus, and calculus. My sessions are interactive and tailored to each student’s needs, whether that means reviewing fundamentals, practicing test strategies, or tackling challenging problems. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can feel more like a peer and be encouraged to ask questions and actively engage with the material.
