I've been working with students qualifying for the AIME since I qualified myself back in 2013. The majority of lessons that I taught on Wyzant were for the AMC - covering algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics. I have over a dozen students who have successfully qualified for the AIME, with some even reaching the USAMO stage. I have also coached and ran the math league program at the high school level for my school.

Experienced AMC/ AIME Tutor!

Phillip is a very organized and experienced tutor. My son took a lesson for the AMC 12/ AIME from him, and he drew out a clear and structured lesson plan to help him gain a higher score. Phillip provided material for practice problems, as well as to learn the underlying concepts of general problems on the competition. Not only did he know how to help in the short term, he was able to structure a long term plan to gain a deeper understanding of competition math.
