About Walter

Hello I am a High School Physics teacher and 2014 physics graduate of The College of New Jersey. For many students physics can be a confusing and challenging subject. As a tutor and teacher it is my goal to take the complex concepts and break them down into terms that all students can understand. In addition to physics I also have experience tutoring physical science, chemistry and algebra 1 and 2. I am also a high school cross country and track coach as well. Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Chemistry

As a physics teacher I have a solid background in chemistry as well completing the general chemistry courses at the undergraduate level and a chemistry for educators course at the graduate level.

Physical Science

I have experience teaching a freshman level physical science class and have tutored students in physical science at both the honors and college prep level.

Physics

I currently teach both College Prep level physics and AP Physics 1. I have experience tutoring all levels of physics including AP physics C, honors physics and conceptual physics. In addition to my tutoring and teaching experience my degree is in physics and secondary education.

Knowledgeable and patient

We are very thankful to Walter for his help and guidance in bringing my daughter's physics grade to an "A". He helped her to understand the complex concepts by providing real life examples and making sure she can apply them when solving the problems. Irina
