I am Louis P., and I am currently a Professor of Computer Science at City University of New York; I have been teaching courses as a faculty member for over 10 years. I also teach courses in Mathematics at my school. I obtained my Undergraduate Degree in Physics from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Then I proceeded to obtain my PHD degree in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology. My PHD thesis was in Mathematics (Graph Theory) that is closely related to Computer Science. I enjoy also teaching High School students Mathematics as I prepared several students for the SAT examinations.

I like to engage in an informal way with students as it is important to make the relationship teacher-student friendly so students feel comfortable asking questions. At the first meeting I try to understand the knowledge the student masters regarding basic background required for a specific course. Since I have a broad background in different areas of sciences, I can teach both basic and advanced materials in both Mathematics and Computer Science.

Algebra 1

I am a Professor of Computer Science at the City University of New York with a strong background on Mathematics. I've teaching Algebra to remedial students at my University and I helped HS students to pass the ACT/SAT examinations.
C++

C++

I am Professor of Computer Science at the College of Staten Island (City University of New York) since 1998. I obtained my PHD degree in Computer Science at Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey. I teach theoretical courses in Computer Science such as Analysis of Algorithm. I this course students are assigned projects in C++ that is the main course programming language (students are allowed to use other languages such as Python and Java). I've also taught the Data Structure course, that is the third programming course of a sequence of three courses, all based on C++.

I also teach graduate courses in Computer Science as part of the Computer Science Master's Degree at my College.
Discrete Math

Discrete Math

My PHD thesis was in Graph Theory that is a subfield of Combinatorics and Operations Research. I have also taught CSC 228 (Discrete Math) a required course for the Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I have taught this course several times.
