Children are special and unique. I believe that no one child learns the same way. In my approach, I like to find what works for each person. If review is necessary to bring them up to the required level to be successful, then this is where I like to begin. Vocabulary and study skills are instrumental in their ability to learn and understand what they are doing. Inclusion of test-taking strategies is also important. Repetition and constant assessment are tools that I find helpful as well.

I have been tutoring from elementary to college-aged children and young adults for over 10 years. I have home schooled several of my family members and believe that it has been very beneficial for them; each have gone up one to two levels above their current grade levels. I have patience, am dependable, and am very reliable.

I was in the US Air Force, am a disabled veteran, and have three classes remaining to finish a Master's degree in Accounting. I am currently homeschooling one of my eight year old nephews, who is in fourth grade, and was last assessed at the 4.9 grade level for both math and reading.
