Hi there! My name is Catie.

I am currently a 4th year medical student applying for internal medicine residency. As a future physician, I am passionate about educating my patients to help them understand their health, and this same dedication to clear, effective teaching is what drives me to be a successful tutor, ensuring that complex concepts are approachable and easy to grasp for my students.

Throughout my time in medical school I have done very well in all of my pre-clinical classes: anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, histology, neuroscience, pathology, pharmacology, behavioral science, etc. I also received high scores in my clinical rotations during 3rd year.
I completed and passed USMLE Step 1 on the first attempt and did very well on Step 2, which are national board certification exams in medicine.

While in medical school I have acted as a tutor and a mentor for pre-med students. I feel very comfortable reviewing pre-professional school applications/essays, helping with interview skills for professional school/residency and offering overall guidance on admissions.

A bit about my life before medical school: I graduated college in 3.5 years with a degree in public health and took all the necessary classes for medical school. I finished with a 3.7 GPA (magna cum laude) while also completing research, volunteering and shadowing.

Throughout my time in college, I enjoyed tutoring students K-8 in science, english and math. I have also worked with students with ADHD and ASD. I enjoy working with all ages and hope to be able to tutor you in the future!
