Latin and Greek Tutor

I graduated summa cum laude from Harvard with a degree in Classical Languages and Literatures, and am now pursuing a PhD in Classical Studies at Duke. I have been studying Latin for 10 years and Greek for 6 years, and I have true passion for these languages and for the Greek and Roman cultures we can access through them. I have several years of experience tutoring high school students and adult professionals alike in Latin, Greek, and I have served twice as an assistant teacher.

I believe that Classical languages can serve not only as a window to past civilizations, but also as a framework for understanding our own lives and our relationships to our own societies. I firmly believe that Classics are for everyone, and that learning Latin and Greek is not only fun, but can also improve a student's ability to reason and interpret in all academic areas.

Outside of my academic life, I love to sing and I perform with two choirs. I also love to play the piano, sew, and go to Zumba classes. I believe that teaching is my path in life, and I hope to become a Latin or Greek teacher once my PhD program is finished.
