I have been teaching for over 25 years! I actually have students that have grown up, gotten married, have children and still keep in contact with me. I have had students look me up on social media to say hi and thank you for being a great teacher! Teaching has been my life. I love it and I love my students. I love when students who have been upset or frustrated about a math situation are able to figure it out with my support and coaching!
I have a B.A. in Education from Temple University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Cheyney University. Both schools are in Pennsylvania. I am certified in Elementary K-6, Mathematics 6-9, and Leadership/Principal Certification. The communication between teacher and student is very important. My students and their parents are free to call, text, and email me with questions and concerns. The most important thing is that I allow students the freedom to learn, the freedom to make a mistake, analyze the problem, discover what happened and make corrections. Removing the stress of learning is what is most important to me. When a child discovers a learning strategy or process it is a beautiful thing!

I love to help students with Math because Math is a subject that students often do not like. I have been teaching Middle School and High School Math 1 and Honors Math 1 for the last 10 years. The course I teach covers: Linear Equations Multi-step Equations, Linear Inequalities, Systems of Linear Equations & Inequalities, Laws of Exponents, Exponential Growth & Decay; Quadratic Functions, and Statistics.
