Hello,

I first started tutoring in undergraduate and I loved it so much that by my senior year the organization I was tutoring for had to specify "not Dale" when asking for people to fill in the remaining slots. I am a huge nerd and may well need some help communicating with you, but I'll take your advice so long as you take mine.

Hello,

I first started tutoring in undergraduate and I loved it so much that by my senior year the organization I was tutoring for had to specify "not Dale" when asking for people to fill in the remaining slots. I am a huge nerd and may well need some help communicating with you, but I'll take your advice so long as you take mine.

My goal is to help people. I know that seems obvious given the field, but I'm happy to do the work that is needed to help you understand. My satisfaction is in you understanding or appreciating something you didn't before. I'll do my best to make examples that apply to your interests should you share them with me.

I think the biggest thing to making tutoring successful is making it at least a bit enjoyable for both student and teacher. Most of us hate what we're forced to do after all. Finding a way to make the student engaged is the most critical aspect of tutoring/teaching and I'm willing to work with the student to find that, so long as the student is willing to work with me.

I've taken up to Calculus III in school so I am familiar with calculus in 3-D. My foundation in Calc III is not the strongest so I'm not offering help in anything beyond Calc I. I've tutored people in Algebra before and it was successful so long as they attended. I think the key to teaching math is not giving problems, but helping people to understand how to work problems. I think this approach is applicable beyond just math as well.

I have a Ph. D. in Chemistry. That sounds intimidating so let's ignore that. I have tutored Chemistry for four years: three in undergrad and one in grad school. I had regular attendees for my undergrad sessions for multiple years. They may not have always needed my help, but the regulars came in just in case because they trusted me to make any issues clear. That is one of my proudest achievements. Even more so than the Ph. D. I take pride in helping people.

Look, I remember College, and honestly the circumstances right now aren't too different. I don't wan

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have a Ph. D. in Chemistry and have taken up to Calculus III. I used algebra near daily in my graduate work.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I have a Ph. D. in Inorganic Chemistry with a specialization in Computational Mechanisms of Transition Metal Complexes. In normal people speak that means I know a lot about transition metals and how they react. My tutoring experience covers the breadth of General Chem and Organic Chem as Physical Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry were majors only classes. I'm also very familiar with NMR and other spectroscopy having TA'd a Structure and Spectroscopy class for two years.
Organic Chemistry

Organic Chemistry

My Ph. D. is in organometallics specifically on mechanisms of catalysis. Basically my work consisted of figuring out mechanisms of reactions to understand why they happened and if we could improve the catalyst for it.

Organic Chemistry

Dale makes the hardest subject on earth, understandable. He is so patient and breaks down the material for easier comprehension. I highly recommend a session with him.

Best Organic Tutor

Dale is hands down the best Organic Tutor I’ve ever had and the best tutor overall on Wyzant. He’s the reason I got an A in Orgo 1 with 100% and the reason I’m on path to do it again with Orgo 2. He’s patient even when the material gets really complexed and he really knows his stuff. He goes out his way to provide additional supplemental material to assist in areas I was weak in and been readily available to help. With my school we learn with the interactive system ALEKs and Dale helps me every time to learn how the question work and how to see the bigger picture in Chemistry. You will not be disappointed booking Dale!

Awesome chemistry tutor

Our daughter is just starting out in AP Chem and needed elementary instruction (the building blocks). Dale patiently tested her knowledge in a friendly manner and systematically built up her understanding of chemistry throughout the lesson. We found Dale to be patient and pleasant throughout the call… highly recommended!

Will Book Again

That was absolutely easy to book and very patient and knowledgeable about organic chemistry. When I stumbled he was never judgmental or impatient. It's a very comfortable environment to be tutored if Dale is your guy!

Very knowledgeable, nice and patient

Dale was easy to communicate with before the session when we had trouble uploading a file. My daughter said he was very nice and she found the session helpful. We would definitely use Dale again!

Unparalleled Organic Chem Tutoring

Best tutor ever. Such a kind, patient, knowledgeable human. I learned so much from him, and not just within organic chemistry. If you have the chance, I HIGHLY recommend him for tutoring.

Very patient

My daughter had a missing assignment in Chemistry. She couldn't have done it alone. Dale did a great job at explaining the assignment. She understood the material and completed the work with Dale.
