I remember when I help one of my student with algebra. At first, she told me she did not like math, and she knew nothing about it -she got D on her first exam. However, after working with me, I tried to explain the problem carefully, and walked her through the solution-instead of showing her how to solve the problems, I let her did them herself. Then, I pointed out why her mistake and we found the right solution together. It worked well because she got an A on her final and she told me "I love math now". It was great...!

I have taught calculus for more than 20 years. Besides, I'm active user of calculus methods in its full strength throughout my research work. My approach while teaching is complete understanding of concepts under discussion by students of any level. In preparation for that, I use wide spectra of examples, thus revealing "the mystery of calculus".
