I first gained an associates degree in Institutional management with studies in foods. Everyone who with whom I spoke socially knew of my passion for nutrition and for sharing information on how to eat right. At that point I realized that I was interested in Nutrition Science. So while I was working as an administrative assistant in Europe I saved for my tuition to study nutrition. I continued to talk about nutrition to friends and family and those associated with me increased their knowledge in nutrition this way. I was accepted to study catering/applied nutrition at Huddersfield Polytechnic, Huddersfield, England. So in 1972, I embarked on a four year study in Huddersfield, England.

I worked in School Nutrition Service. In this career I provided nutrition service by working closely with the children. After a number of years I realized that to experience mobility, I needed to update my credential by getting an advanced degree. So, I began further study of nutrition by entering master of science program in 1994. At the completion of this study, I moved up on the career path and took a nutrition service job in the Midwest. In this position I was serving a larger population and promoted nutrition. I met with students in classroom setting and discussed nutrition with them and answered their questions about nutrition. At Wellness Nutrition meetings when it was mandated that school districts have wellness committee, I discussed nutrition improvement with committee members including parents.
