About Jenifer

Bio

I am a certified elementary teacher, with 19 years of teaching experience at the elementary level. I am certified in both early childhood and elementary education, as well as in K-12 ESL.
I am also a mother and a wife. My husband and I have 2 children.

I also hold a Master of Ed degree in Educational Technology. I enjoy working with students of all ages. Previously, I was mostly an upper elementary teacher.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have almost 20 years of teaching experience at the elementary level. I have taught in the classroom in grades 2-5, but most of my experiences have been in grades 3-5. I am currently an Elementary ESL teacher, where I work with all grade levels in some capacity, but primarily work in grades 4 & 5. I would love to tutor primarily for grades 3-6. I have many resources and techniques that would apply in multiple subjects and grade levels. I also love to incorporate technology whenever appropriate. Even though my experiences are mostly at the upper grades, I have had to modify lessons or material many times in order to accommodate students who are learning below grade level. This has occurred in all subject areas.

I have almost 19 years of teaching experiences, at various grade levels. Currently, I'm an elementary ESL teacher. While I do work with many students K-5, I currently primarily work with 4th and 5th graders. I enjoy helping students learn and I love to find new and fun ways to help them!

Great Tutor

My daughter, who is in kindergarten, has been receiving tutor lessons with Jennifer for about a month now. My daughter actually looks forward to the lessons and has fun while learning unlike when we would try to help her at home. She has had problems with her reading and since the lessons with Jennifer I see that she has more confidence while reading and is doing better in school.
