I have also worked as a substitute teachers for multiple elementary, middle and high schools for Katy ISD, which is a suburb of Houston, TX.

I also teach Spanish as a second language. I have spent time in Costa Rica and Panama, as part of my international relations major in college, which was focused on Central American studies. I'm also currently working on my master's degree in bilingual education.

I also have experience teaching swimming and basketball, as I worked as a swim instructor for over 10 years, and as an assistant basketball coach through my local YMCA.

For our intial meeting, I like to try to create a goal-oriented action plan to ensure we're working together to accomplish the results you want and to uncover any additional challenges we may discover.

Thank you for your time and consideration, I look forward to helping you achieve success!

Knowledgeable and easy to communicate

Jerrod helps my middle schoolers to improve their writings. They tell me they learn a lot from Jerrod. He challenges them to think and dig a little deeper when reading and writing. I would highly recommend Jerrod to parents out there.

Patient, engaging and fun!

My very reluctant son would rather have been outside or playing XBox but Jerrod was able to wrangle him in and provide a very productive session! My eight-year-old son even said he enjoyed his session with Jerrod! Thanks, Jerrod!

Good lesson

Jerrod worked on irregular verbs on a white board and I thoroughly enjoyed this style of learning. He makes learning Spanish easy and fun. I thoroughly appreciated this great lesson and look forward to our next one.

Takes the time to learn what your child needs.

My son has met with Jerrod and enjoys that Jerrod teaches him stradegies to help him with his reading and comprehension. Thanks Jerrod! I would definitely recommend him to another family.

Patient person

Its too early to tell, but my child's first lesson with Jerrod was great. Along with information provided, I saw Jerrod's approach to see what problems may exist that he could use to help my son achieve his goal in becoming a better reader. My son and I look forward to his next lesson.

Good Tutor

So far Jerrod has helped my son maintain a B in reading which in comparison from last quarter is a huge improvement. Very patient and kind. Overall an A+ tutor.
