Hi! My name is Lily, and I am a junior biochemistry major at Park University with a strong academic background in both English and science. I have completed all high school coursework with A’s and have taken a wide range of college-level courses, including Chemistry I and II, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology I, Botany, Zoology, Composition I and II, and Technical Writing in Science. These courses have given me a solid foundation not only in scientific content, but also in academic and scientific writing, critical thinking, and effective communication.

I have experience working one-on-one with students in academic settings, helping them understand challenging material, improve their writing skills, and build confidence in their abilities. My tutoring experience includes assisting middle school, high school, and introductory college-level students with science concepts, essay writing, lab reports, and exam preparation. I also earned a 28 on the ACT, with particular strengths in the English and Science sections, and I am comfortable helping students prepare for these areas. In addition, my experience in the medical field allows me to connect science topics to real-world applications, which many students find helpful and motivating.

My tutoring approach is patient, structured, and individualized. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to the student’s goals, learning style, and current coursework. Rather than focusing solely on completing assignments, I work to help students truly understand the material, develop strong study and writing skills, and gain long-term academic confidence. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and capable of succeeding independently.
