I began playing the harmonica in the 1990’s growing up in Northfield IL, studying traditional tongue blocking with Joe Filisko at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago.
In 1998 I relocated to Lawrence KS, learning from Lee McBee and playing in blues and bluegrass bands.
In 2002 I was a founding member of the rocking blues band Levee Town out of Kansas City, and played with them until 2015.

I received an Associates of Liberal Studies from Johnson County Community College in Overland Park KS, concentrating on Music Theory and Jazz Improvisation.
Influences range from Muddy Waters, Little Walter, and Chicago Blues to Lester Young, Charlie Parker, and KC Blues.
I have been teaching online for years, and have had students from ages 8-80, beginners to professionals.
