Bio

Hello! My name is Hanh and I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University! I graduated with a Bachelors in Biology at UMKC (full ride) and a Masters in Biomedical Sciences from KCUMB. I was also in the top 10% of my high school graduating class at Lincoln College Prep.

Hello! My name is Hanh and I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University! I graduated with a Bachelors in Biology at UMKC (full ride) and a Masters in Biomedical Sciences from KCUMB. I was also in the top 10% of my high school graduating class at Lincoln College Prep.

I have 7+ years of experience tutoring students of all ages from elementary school through college, and I have enjoyed every second of it! I have tutored Math and English for students from kindergarten through high school, and the Sciences in college. I also have experience working with students with special needs and learning disabilities as a student mentor throughout my undergraduate education. I worked one-on-one with my students and provided them with resources and strategies that best fit their learning style and goals. I like to explain concepts in a simple and relatable way that helps students connect the dots to any topic they find difficult. I will make sure my students understand the concepts they are struggling with in a step-by-step fashion before moving onto the next. I also make sure they understand the topic by either quizzing or doing practice problems. My students have had successes in improving their grades and their understanding and application of the subject overall. I absolutely love helping them gain the confidence in what they found previously challenging and seeing that the subject they're learning is actually doable and fun!

My goal as a tutor is to provide them with the tools and guidance they need to succeed in whatever their academic goals may be! To make sure you have the best tutoring experience, I will need at least 12 to 24 hours of prep time and materials from either quizzes, PowerPoints, homework, etc. As for in-person tutoring, I am available only at libraries in Gladstone, MO. For test prep, my prices differ from the regular pricing (please message).

Great at explaining! Patient and clear.

Hanh was great! She was clear, explained things well and didn’t just show our son how to do the work but guided him, coming up with sample problems. He was struggling today for a test that is tomorrow and she was so flexible to agree to a session with short notice. After one session he has gone from being certain he was going to fail his test to being confident he will get a high score. Highly recommend!

Hanh took the initiative of looking at what I sent her that I needed to work on and created a slideshow just for me. And then, after tutoring me, she rapid fired questions at me to ensure that I remembered what was taught. She is a phenomenal tutor for DPT students

Amazing!

Hahn was very flexible with scheduling and was very communicative. Our daughter has always struggled with Math and needed to pass College Math 101 to be able to move on to some other courses. Hahn’s knowledge helped her improve so much and we were so thankful to find her. Can’t recommend her enough and we won’t hesitate to reach out to her again if our daughter needs help in any other courses.

I really enjoyed working with Hanh. She created PowerPoints for each of our lessons and always was very prepared. She is certainly very knowledgable in cell bio and from getting two Ds on midterms, I was able to finish with a B in the class. I highly recommend Hanh's tutoring to supplement individual studying.
