Hello, my name is Javier! I am excited for the opportunity to work together with students who are looking to achieve greater understanding of mathematics. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in mathematics and during college I worked as a tutor for both general and advanced undergraduate math courses. I am passionate about meeting students where they are, and tailoring my teaching approach to each unique individual. I have tutored and learned from students who are mathematics majors, Engineering majors, and Non-STEM. I enjoy working with students from all walks of life. My tutoring strategy involves working through many examples with attention to detail and not skipping steps. Listening and responding to student feedback is a key skill I employ in my tutoring, in order to better understand how my students learn, and where they need help.

I have experience tutoring College Algebra, Calculus I, II, III, and Differential Equations. I am well-versed in upper level undergraduate math, such as Discrete Mathematics, Matrix Theory, Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Topology, Analysis, Advanced Calculus, Number Theory, and Logic/Proofs. I also have taken two year's worth of graduate level math courses
including Category Theory, Differential Topology/Geometry, and Complex Analysis.
