We have nothing but positive things to say about Paul H! In just a couple weeks he brought my daughters Geometry grade from a D- to a B-. He was very patient, tailored to her learning style and broke everything down so she could understand it. He always responded to my messages immediately and was extremely flexible in scheduling. He even accommodated lessons in 2 different locations and handled scheduling with both myself and my ex husband. Paul always showed up on time, got right to work and never wasted a minute of our time. My daughter lost her prep pages before one of our lessons and Paul took charge, creating a lesson for her so she didn't miss a night of studying before finals. Thank You, Paul! I don't know what we would have done without you!!
It was very difficult to convince my son for the extra tutoring for language arts. We only had one lesson from Paul which my son is very happy about it. He is definitely a professional. We will continue working with him.
Paul taught me many strategies for the math section on our first tutor session. When we first started practicing I already felt more head of the game and it gave me a confident boost for the rest of my tutoring!
During the first lesson Paul taught my daughter test taking skills and the strategy how to improve ACT math score. She was very happy to have such a productive session and told me that she would like to continue tutoring session with Paul. Thank you so much!
Paul really helped me a lot with the English and Reading part of the ACT prep. He helped with Science and Math too. Overall my ACT practice test scores increased by 4 points so my parents are very happy - (me too!)
Knowledgeable and patient . He appears to be very organized and is punctual with timing . The student liked his teaching and seem to understand what he's teaching her
Logical approach to math problems. Covers a lot in a short time and gives clear follow-up instructions. We'll have to wait and see how my daughter will performs in ACT.
Paul is very knowledgeable. He has helped my son to understand some Algebra 2 concepts better. He is also willing to meet at a location that is convenient for us. We look forward to more sessions.
Paul was so kind, patient and helped my daughter tremendously. Always considerate and very accommodating as we had many sessions with Paul. He was extremely thorough with his tutoring, giving my daughter the break down as how to really succeed while taking the test. Yes,100% I would recommend Paul. My daughter really enjoyed tutoring with him!!!
Working with my son on ACT prep for math during this lesson. Very valuable information relayed. My son found the session extremely helpful. Looking forward to our next session.
Paul did a great job explaining math fundamentals and helping me understand methods of solving quantitative analysis problems. I have a better idea on how to tackle certain problems and he was able to put things in a way that were easy for me to learn and build off from there.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

For over three years I have been helping students improve their scores on the ACT science section. ACT science prep primarily involves...reading! The ACT science section does not test science knowledge; instead, it measures your ability to read scientific literature, connect the dots in a logical way, and apply the scientific method to the experiments presented in the passage.

With twin boys in elementary school, I am familiar with the math taught at every elementary grade level (and I passed the Minnesota Teacher Licensing Exams for math with a perfect score on my very first attempt!). Since math is a cumulative subject, younger students will not progress simply by parroting algorithms; instead, new skills are facilitated only through deep understanding and mastery of prior skills. My approach is to teach the students so well that they can turn around and teach the newly learned skills to others.
Having studied multiple languages (English, Spanish, and Greek) I have acquired a high-level view of English grammar, vocabulary, and style. Whether your student wants to strengthen grammar skills, writing skills, or reading and analytical skills, I can help!
