I have taught Hebrew in a variety of area religious schools for over 10 years. I currently teach at two, large Montgomery County synagogues. I minored in Judaic Studies at New York University--I lived in Israel from 1998 to 2000--during this time, I taught sports in Israeli schools, directed Israeli summer camps--and most importantly, I received a full year fellowship at the Melton School of Jewish Education's Senior Educators Program (Jerusalem, Israel)--in addition to coursework in Hebrew and Jewish Education (much of which was taught in Hebrew). I reached my advanced Hebrew certification through the Hebrew University Ulpan program. In addition to working at these local schools, I also teach students privately--many of these students are currently studying for their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs--I teach students how to read basic Hebrew--and provide youngsters with some background on culture, etc.
