I am a graduated medical student in Residency and have tutored students of all ages, including students for Step 1 and MCAT for the past 5 years. I am happy to help with applications and interviews as well!

I am experienced in tutoring for all sections of the MCAT. For full spectrum tutoring (start to finish), I hope to leave you with is a spreadsheet to help track your progress/scores/mistakes, tools to conquer MCAT math quickly, timing strategies to make sure you finish each section, and guidance on which resources to use and how. I also individualize tutoring heavily, meaning we work with your strengths. My personal journey involved taking the MCAT within 3 weeks to reach my goal score, so I believe that efficient studying is key.

My expertise is CARS specific tutoring. For CARS, I have learned that each type of passage requires a different strategy to get the most out of a quick read. During tutoring, we go through each type of passage (artistic, scientific, argumentative, philosophy) and identifying how to pull out the "right" information before heading to the answer choices. I can offer 1-3 CARS focused sessions if that is your only weak spot.

For the USMLE Step 1, I hope to help you create and stick to a schedule that optimizes learning active learning (UWorld/Amboss question bank) with efficient content review (Pathoma/Sketchy) and spaced NBME practice tests. I recently took and passed STEP 1, and want to help you learn high yield principles that show up on every exam.

I like to teach students how to efficiently study for the exam within a short period of time, so will focus my time on helping you find the right resources that will help you get your ideal score as soon as possible! Additionally, I think the biggest barrier to the MCAT is confidence, so I hope to help you believe in yourself!!

MCAT

MCAT

I studied for the MCAT (2019) in a short period of time and received a 96 percentile score. In the process, I used several of the resources students who are studying for the MCAT now have used, and continue to use those same resources (Anki, UWorld) during my medical education. Beyond studying for the MCAT, as a Bioengineering undergraduate, I mastered biological applications of physics, and will be able to provide a new angle as a tutor in the physics section. As a current medical student, I practice these skills daily and have MCAT content fresh in my memory. My tutoring philosophy is structured around efficiency, content mastery, and confidence building.

USMLE

As a current medical student, my recent experiences taking and tutoring for step will be useful for those taking the new pass/fail USMLE Step 1. I took and passed step 1 with a one month dedicated period, and will help busy students tailor their plan to include resources such as First Aid, UWorld, and Pathoma within their study period. As a high scoring medical student, I have mastered identifying key "buzzwords" in USMLE NBME questions. I also hope to share benchmarks in the studying process to ensure that students are progressing properly. My style focuses on mastering high yield content and question based learning in a short period of time.

Sanyukta is an amazing tutor and she has many tips and strategies to get a high score in the MCAT for all the sessions. I struggled with time and with her tips and strategies, I was able to finish every session of the MCAT on time. She is very patient and will make sure you actually understand everything. Every minute of the hour spent with her are worth it. 100% recommended to other students.

Informative and Very Helpful

I was mostly struggling with timing and CARS. For timing, Sanyukta assessed why I had issues in different sections and addressed each section individually. For CARS, we determined where I specifically went wrong when reading the passages and how I could more accurately answer questions. We were able to determine a strategy for me that helped me organize the information from the passages, so I could answer questions with better speed and accuracy. For bio/biochem and chem/phys, we went over simple but effective techniques for timing that allowed me to finish both sections on test day. Sanyukta was overall a great tutor and helped me better understand how to take the MCAT.

Best Tutor- Pick Her & You’ll Be Grateful You Did!

Cannot say better things about Sanyukta! If you’re looking for a tutor stop searching and just pick her already! She is not only brilliant but is also compassionate when tutoring and never is judgmental if you do not know something. She made me feel more confident when studying and her test taking techniques definitely helped. She cultivates a positive learning environment, has a flexible schedule to accommodate people’s needs, and always was able to answer my questions. I would recommend her to anyone I knew who needed a tutor.
