As a mathematics tutor at Trinity Washington University, I have become aware of the fact that countless college students lack foundation of basic Mathematical skills that students entering college should encompass. As a mathematics tutor at Trinity Washington University, I have become aware of the fact that countless college students lack foundation of basic Mathematical skills that students entering college should encompass. This illustrates the fact that various math teachers in the field are not teaching students in a fashion that will enable them to comprehend and retain in their memories the logic used in basic mathematics. This is certainly a major issue, as generally all careers use some sort of mathematics. Moreover, mathematics enhances one's problem-solving, organizational, logical, and analyzing skills which will help one to take on and resolve problematical situations. I intend to tutor math to resolve this issue.

In addition, I have a BS degree in mathematics, and have experience in tutoring Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Linear Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. 95 percent of my tutees were able to pass their math classes and improve their test scores in math.

My sessions are fun and informative, and I always work at a speed that is comfortable for the tutee. I engage students, clearly explain topics and make learning fun. I set high standards for students and continually challenge them to exceed those standards. I help students build tremendous confidence and achieve their academic goals. I am an acting coach with hands-on experience guiding youth and emerging performers through the craft. I currently teach acting and run my own acting company, where I design age-appropriate curricula and coach students in scene work, character development, on-camera technique, and audition strategy. My approach emphasizes practical skill-building, confidence, and clear communication to help students translate training into performance opportunities. Notably, several of my clients, including my daughters, have booked major roles under my guidance, demonstrating a proven track record of real-world results.

I tutored Algebra 1 to middle school students and college students. Nearly all of my students were able to pass their classes and improve their scores in Mathematics. This is one of my favorite subjects to tutor as it opens the door to many mathematical topics. This tends to be where students began to shy away from math. However, if we motivate students to learn math from the beginning, we can resolve this issue. This is, without a doubt, the foundation of my algebra 1 lessons.
Algebra 2

I tutored Algebra 2 to middle school, high school, and college level students. Algebra 2 is just a step above Algebra 1, but is essential for anyone who will advance to upper level Mathematics. Nearly all of my students were able to pass their classes and improve their scores in Mathematics. This is one of my favorite subjects to tutor, as it opens the door to many mathematical topics. My students tend to move on to Precalculus and Calculus. Finally, their fear of learning new mathematical topics fades.
Calculus

Calculus

This is an upper - level mathematical course. I have tutored my college peers in Calculus, and they were all able to improve in their Calculus classes. I have received an A in Calculus I and II and am very well versed in the subject. Calculus often frightens students, with its name alone. However, by thoroughly illustrating Calculus concepts and its linkage to important careers, we can get rid of many students' fears.
Differential Equations

I took Differential Equations during my undergraduate career at Trinity Washington University. I received an A in the subject, and am very well versed in the subject.

I have led many geometry group sessions to high school sophomores. My students were able to grasp onto old and familiar geometrical concepts and found that they actually liked the subject. All of my students did a complete 180 on their exams. They were excited to come to my sessions. I was glad to have them.
Linear Algebra

I took Linear Algebra in my undergraduate career at Trinity, and received an A in the course.
Prealgebra

I have tutored prealgebra to middle school students and freshman college students. I enjoy tutoring this subject to students, as it is the gateway to algebra. Nearly all of my students were able to pass prealgebra with flying colors.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have tutored my college peers in Precalculus. Many of them were afraid of the subject just because they see the term calculus in the word. However, I reassured them that Precalculus was just a step up from Algebra, and they became less apprehensive. Most of my students went on to take Calculus I the next semester.
