I am a senior at Towson University studying Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Through my coursework, I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics, from algebra through Calculus III and other advanced topics, which allows me to confidently tutor students across a wide range of subjects. I am CRLA Level 2 certified through Towson’s nationally recognized tutor training program, which provides formal instruction in effective tutoring strategies, including active learning, individualized pacing, and fostering student confidence.
In my sophomore year, I began working as a peer tutor, assisting students both one-on-one and in small groups. This experience taught me how to adapt to diverse learning styles, connect with students individually, and help them build confidence in areas where they may underestimate themselves. I regularly tutor students in middle school, high school, and college, and I am also able to assist elementary students. I have volunteered to support younger students and students with disabilities, further developing my ability to provide personalized and inclusive tutoring.
