My name is Ellis. I have a PhD in Cancer Immunology and I am currently in my last year of medical school. During this time I would like to offer my expert tutoring services in Math (up to calculus), Physics, and Biology courses to those in need.

I have always had a passion for math and science and a love for teaching. This is a result of having a mother whom was a math teacher. Due to this background, I have learned to adjust my approach to tutoring and teaching for each student individually. I have been tutoring in the sciences for 10 years and have developed unique skills to accomplish students goals. I completed college with a B.S. in Biological sciences with a 3.7 GPA. I completed my PhD with a 3.5 GPA. The student's I have tutored have ranged from the age of 6 to adults at the age of 25. These students are of many different backgrounds and learning styles.

My tutoring approach encompasses all aspects of learning that are geared to each student individually. I first take a session to speak with the student and their parents to discover what has previously worked and other approaches that have not been don. Of course, practicing questions is an essential aspect of teaching but many other students find it easier to memorize equations and concepts using song and visual diagrams; many of which I incorporate into my sessions. The goal of my tutoring is to not only give students the ability to gain knowledge but for them to find the fun in science!
