Hello, my name is Ange! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Spanish. The word "daunting" describes my initial feelings when navigating academia. Hello, my name is Ange! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Spanish. The word "daunting" describes my initial feelings when navigating academia. However, as a pre-medicine student, I found that engaging professors who engagingly presented information made a significant difference, cutting my study time in half. This experience shaped my approach to tutoring: I aim to be engaging and make learning digestible. My tutoring method is tailored to each student’s needs, implementing a four-step process. It begins with a pre-session overview of the material, followed by the lesson itself, and engaging memorization exercises. Students then undergo timed evaluations to build endurance for high-stress exams like the SAT, ACT, or final exams. Finally, they receive weekly tasks to review the concepts covered.

I began tutoring in 2020, assisting middle and high school students in Algebra, Geometry, French Language, and English Literature. Last summer, I worked with a College Immersion Program, tutoring in PreCalculus, Algebra II, Foreign Languages, SAT prep, English Literature, and Biology. I collaborated with professors in classroom settings and provided individualized and group tutoring afterward. Currently, I volunteer as an Engineering teacher at a youth science camp. I teach the Engineering design process, and each week, students create different projects using raw materials to build sustainable infrastructures. Projects range from constructing bridges with popsicle sticks, glue, and tape, to creating balloon-powered cars.

Learning should not be arduous. I strive to positively impact my students’ academic journeys, using my experience and insights from their parents to cultivate an environment where students flourish academically. I am easily reachable and my response time is prompt. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
