I have an MIT degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a minor in Design, and studied Latin for a decade. Throughout my life, I taught STEAM topics to grade schoolers as a volunteer or teacher's assistant, and I have been passionate about all of the previously listed subjects.
Before college, I received the Gold Medal on the National Latin Exam 5 times, and the Silver Medal once. As a result, I won the organization's highest honors by the time I graduated high school, including a scholarship that encouraged me to continue studying Latin throughout college (not that I needed an extra push!) Having scored 2340/2400 on the SAT (800 Reading, 800 Writing, 740 Math) and 35 on the ACT (36 Reading, 36 Writing, 35 Math, 33 Science), the years I spent studying for those tests under various tutors have informed my teaching style. I am patient and encouraging while supporting my students in getting to that moment where things finally "click". When I experienced that under my tutors years ago, that made for magical moments.
I look forward to helping guide you along the next steps of your educational journey!
