I am a language-based special education teacher in a program that specializes in language-based learning disabilities, including, but not limited to: dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. I also work in the general education classroom with a diverse group of students for science and social studies. I have been tutoring for 8 years in all content areas from kindergarten to grade 8, with a focus on reading comprehension, phonics/decoding/encoding, writing, and mathematics. I am WIlson certified and Orton-Gillingham trained. I'm also certified in Lindamood-Bell's LiPS program. Lastly, I focus heavily on differentiated study skills and strategies for all learning styles.

I am currently looking for regularly scheduled summer tutoring positions. The summer is a great opportunity to help your children with remedial skills, refresh newly acquired skills, or challenge them to a new level that will help prepare them for the next grade level. It's a great way to boost self-esteem and set them up for success next year.

One major skill I work on with all students that I tutor is on study skill strategies.
