Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I'm currently certified in ASVAB, of which the AFOQT is a subset. The math portion of the AFOQT is used heavily for certain military occupational specialties. Thus my math education and work experience is directly relevant to both the AFOQT and ASVAB. My several years of teaching/tutoring various test prep courses also qualifies me to tutor AFOQT/ASVAB.

Based on my educational background and work history,I was hired to be an ASVAB instructor by the U.S. Army, but the program funding is in limbo at present.

I am very familiar with the test content, as well as the software package used.

I have 10+ years tutoring math in a GED prep program.

I've also taught math at the college level.

I'm confident that I could help in achieving a score sufficient to meet enlistment criteria.

Thanks for the opportunity to present my qualifications for this position.

If you or your child would like to learn how to play chess, please contact me.

I've been involved in a before school chess club at an elementary school in the Merrimack Valley area for more than 6 yrs.

I'm an intermediate player, and have an accounting/math teaching background.

I truly believe that learning chess can also help a child educationally.

Reasonable rates.

I am specifically interested in GED math tutoring.

I have 10+ yrs. experience teaching a GED math prep course at the community college level.

I also taught math for entry-level bank employees at a social service agency as an independent contractor.

I also tutored accounting and other business-related subjects for a private tutoring service in the Merrimack Valley area.

I have tutored for MTEL, which is the math equivalent of PRAXIS.

I have experience teaching math on the college level.

I can provide prep test for TEAS; focus on math, including the 4 basic operations, geometry and algebra. The content area of TEAS is very similar to the GED and ASVAB, subjects which I'm certified to tutor. I'm also certified to tutor algebra and SAT math, having passed Wyzant's qualifying exams in those areas. I've also taught college algebra and tutored math at a local community college.
